Pixel Intaglio
2024
How can we represent depth in a flat image? The micro-topography of the stamp image indicates the ink thickness, which can also suggest the form of the original metal plate. In other words, we could convert the banknote image into a micro-topographic format to predict ink usage in the printing process.
Sounds of 10 2024
Inspired by the Eames studio's 1977 video "Powers of Ten," expanded into a series that pairs differently scaled images with pixel-generated sounds.
Using scales from 10⁻⁴ (0.0001) to 10⁵ (100,000), created four distinct steps of 10s, each matched with unique pixel-sounds.
